HONDA CB750 CAFE RACER
UPDATE #1
INITIAL ASSESSEMENT
We received this Honda CB 750 and all in all it’s not in terrible condition but there’s defiantly some things to address down the road. This should make for a great starting platform for a stunning Cafe Racer.
UPDATE #2
STRIP DOWN
The strip down on this bike was reliably easy with the exception of a few stubborn exhaust bolts but for a bike of this age thats to be expected.
UPDATE #3
CUTTING THE FRAME
On this build we decided to cut the frame early as we plan to completely rebuild the rear of the bike.
UPDATE #4
FABRICATING THE FRAME
We designed the frame in CAD before bending it into shape and tacking it together.
UPDATE #5
FABRICATING THE SEAT COWLING
We initially created the shape from cardboard so we knew the rough shape needed to begin shaping out of sheet metal. We then worked the metal using a shrinker and an english wheel to get the desired shape, once completed we welded and blended it to the frame.
NEXT TASK
FABRICATING THE SEAT
